Transforming Your College Image In A Major Way

For decades, the College of Food, Agriculture & Environmental Sciences (CFAES) was known as the “school for farming” at Ohio State University. It was an image that the university desperately wanted to change given that the college offered a much broader scope of academic majors than just those associated with agriculture. Through a new brand identity, positioning line and integrated recruitment campaign, CFAES quickly began to shift perception. A new design system was created to align 22 academic departments. Interactive reply cards and online recruitment tools captured each student’s personality and academia traits, enabling CFAES to deliver personalized recruitment packets to prospective students. In a matter of months, college applications increased by over 20{816ffdab6598fc225f059b0eb7332ee65c5dabba4d91b1d9fe070efb876bc548}, onsite visits doubled, and overall costs for the printed recruitment materials were cut in half.
